Help me give girls crucial media-literacy skills.

Please help me raise my goal of $1,000 by December 31!

I’m on the board of About-Face because About-Face’s message of empowerment is one that deeply resonates with me. Today’s youth, more so than ever, are constantly being bombarded with distorted messages from the media. These messages are pervasive and from the time they’re able to look at a screen, young children are being told what’s the “right” way to look and behave. This makes About-Face’s mission to free girls “from the confines of a toxic culture so they can fulfill their potential” so important and necessary.

My goal:

Share with friends:

Five teen girls smile together.

Teen girls* need About-Face programs more than ever.

About-Face’s December 31 fundraising goal is $77,500. And right now, they have a $15,000 matching gift courtesy of an anonymous donor! Your gift will be doubled through December 11!

Our programs help girls find the power of their voices through media literacy and social justice. We’ve moved to an all-virtual model to meet U.S. girls wherever they are.

Help a teen girl see herself as the capable, wonderful person she is by donating today!

To donate via check, mail to:

2261 Market Street, Suite 139
San Francisco, CA 94114

Please let us know your check is coming so we can count it toward the match ASAP.

Our EIN is 26-2768240.

About-Face accepts gifts of stock, which saves you money on your taxes and increases the total donation to us! Email us to get the required details.

If you have trouble with this form, please get in touch.

*About-Face welcomes and includes gender-expansive youth. To us, “girls” means self-identified girls, trans girls, gender-expansive youth, gender non-conforming, and non-binary youth.
