Social Media Volunteer
Although we fight the more harmful messages on social media, we still like to use it for critique and spreading positive messages. But the algorithms often push us out of feeds. Engagement with our posts is what changes that! Help us by reposting, sharing, liking, and commenting positively on our posts on Instagram and Facebook (we are aboutfacesf on both). Spreading the word goes SO far.
Events & Programs Volunteer
This volunteer position involves working at About-Face’s street fair and event tables to inform curious people about our work. This is a fun volunteer position if you are outgoing, like to talk about media literacy, body image, and self-esteem, and enjoy meeting new people.
