Katharine (Katie), is About-Face's Director of Internet Development. She oversees the creation, production and maintenance of About-Face's internet presence. She first became interested in About-Face in 1995 (then, the Stop Starvation Imagery Campaign) after seeing the first poster of the "defaced Kate Moss" allover San Francisco. Emaciation DOES stink (as the poster states) and someone is doing something about it!! Katie has always had a passion for direct action, and from that moment on, her actions led her to build the About-Face web site.
Katie has found her place within About-Face as Director of Internet Development. She has been involved with the Internet for work, research and pleasure since her college days, and continues to develop her computer skills in her full-time job as a Web Site Developer in San Francisco. She received her Bachelor's degree in biology from UC Santa Cruz.
